Erika K. Ross, PhD

Erika is Head of Neural Engineering at Cala Health, a California Bay Area start-up company that came out of the Stanford Biodesign program. Cala Health is a medical technology company pioneering a new class of non-invasive electrical medicines that combine peripheral nerve stimulation and sensing modalities to treat human diseases. Prior to joining Cala Health, Erika was an Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. As part of the Neural Engineering Laboratories, she investigated both central and peripheral mechanisms associated with nerve stimulation utilizing tools such as functional magnetic resonance imaging and fast scan cyclic voltammetry.
